The Empire Throwing Club was formed in 2022 to grow Scottish highland athletics in the capital region. We support Scottish heritage festivals and strength/throwing events, and we provide training and competition opportunities for throwers of all skill levels.

Some people are interested in the games because of the tradition or their own Scottish heritage. Some people threw track and field in high school or college and are looking for a fun way to keep throwing. Some people gravitate to the games from other strength sports like strongman or power lifting. Whatever you're reason, you're in the right place!
